The seminar “Japan Studies from a Comparative Perspective between China and Japanese” was successfully held by the Department of Japanese on March 25th, 2017.
It opened with brief welcome speeches by Prof. Li Yannan, head of SCNU's Department of Japanese and Prof. Anhara Shunko, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department of Japan's Kobe Women’s University. Keynote speeches were delivered by Prof. Anhara Shunko and Professor Shinji Yamauchi from Kobe Women’s University, Prof. Hirooka Shogun from the Central University, and Prof. Tamura Yoshiko from the University of Fukuoka. In the afternoon, four panels focusing respectively on language, literature, culture and sociology were arranged. Teachers and graduate students of the Japanese Department of SFS presented their latest research, which received warm and inspiring comments by the Japanese professors.
The seminar was important for building a more globalized environment and promoting cultural and academic exchanges for teachers and students in the Japanese Department.
